Kristian Sandahl

Theme leader for Continuous Delivery

Professor Kristian Sandahl, IDA, Linköping University, has worked with large-scale software engineering for more than 20 years in the roles as academic researcher, corporate research, and teacher. He has led several research projects in model-based software engineering focusing on traceability, requirements, system anatomies, and prediction of software cost and quality.

Kristian Sandahl is one of the pioneers in Sweden to conduct empirical research together with large software development companies. The research comprises studies of how processes, methods, and tools are being improved and deployed within companies; but also studies where an industrial problem is identified, refined in academia, and fed back to the industry. Examples of such research projects include studies in development processes, system operation, and software reviews.

As an engaged teacher, Kristian Sandahl also published studies in teaching large-scale software engineering in project courses. Presently Kristian Sandahl is leading a project with machine learning for fault localization with Ericsson, and he is the Theme leader of the area Continuous delivery of Software Center.
